HISTORY
Julio grew up with his parents, who came from an agricultural region. According to him, his family always liked to work with coffee. This inspired him, so that in 2015, retired, with a degree in Law, Julio returned to the rural environment with his wife. Following his family’s footsteps, Julio, also passionate about the countryside, bought the property that is currently the Sítio Olga. According to him, since the moment of purchase he envisioned coffee production on the farm, although he had tried other things previously. Today, on his property, he produces two varieties of coffee, Catuaí Amarelo and Catuaí Vermelho, the latter being the one he is most proud of, as it results in superior quality drinks. Julio declares himself as someone who is passionate about coffee production and also likes to praise his neighborhood – all of which are producers of qualified coffees and some even award-winning ones.

CURIOSITIES
The Catuaí Vermelho variety grown on Julio’s property has a more homogeneous maturation than the Catuaí Amarelo, which allows a much higher quality of the coffee grown.
The Catuaí coffee variety is 100% Brazilian. But what makes Catuaí Vermelho different from the Catuaí Amarelo? Striking and full of personality, the flavor of Catuaí Vermelho is, in general, fuller-bodied than the Amarelo, smoother one.
